Six Weeks...

Well today was mine and Casey's first baby doctor appointment ! We have been so excited for this day for 2 weeks :) so needless to say we were up bright and early this morning waiting till time to leave ! We stopped and got breakfast on the way because I was feeling nauseous then before you know it we were in the waiting room....

We got called back in the doctors office and it took FOREVER for Dr. Bruce to come in to see us, but finally she did. She did an ultrasound and saw that the sack had grown since last time and that there was a visible yolk sac now. We did not see an embryo yet and the Doctor never mentioned anything about a heartbeat...which kind of worried me but she said everything seemed normal for how early it is. She actually thought i might only be 5 1/2 weeks instead of 6 weeks. She wants to see me back in 2 weeks and said we should definitely be able to see an embryo. I am not going to lie I was a little bit disappointed because I went in expecting to see a definite little blob and hear a heartbeat. So I will be worried until I do see and hear a heartbeat even though Dr. Bruce didn't seem concerned.

The past 2 times I have been to the doctor I went to Dr. Bruce , she was my sister in law's doctor throughout her pregnancy with the twins. I thought I would really love her since my sister n law and I are so much alike but I have to say that I am not too fond of her. She isn't very personable to me. It really irritated me when I asked her today if there was any medicine I could take for a runny nose and allergies and she never even looked at me she just said well didn't you read your new patient packet from last time it told you what medicine was acceptable. First of all, she didn't give me and "New patient " packet last time I went to the doctor. & second of all even if she did when I ask my doctor a question I expect an answer not a smart ass response ! ( sorry I'm venting now ) I think it's because my normal doctor Dr. Milner is beyond amazing and ALWAYS makes you feel like his friend instead of just another patient. As you can tell I'm really looking forward to seeing Dr. Milner on March 12th :) He got me to where I am and has always been so sweet!

I am trying not to worry because God is in control and there is probably nothing to worry about anyway!!!!! That is my 6 week update ...

Oh & BTW ... My mother in law is on day 8 of radiation and doing wonderful !!

5 Weeks !

Ok, so let me start off by saying that I forgot to mention in my last blog the AMAZING news we got the day after we found out I was pregnant ! My mother in law found out that she will not have to take CHEMO :) She was so relieved and her doctor told her that she can scream at the top of her lung that she IS a cancer survivor !! This was such wonderful news.

I went to the doctor at 4 weeks and 4 days to "confirm pregnancy" ( get blood work done ) I had an Ultrasound that day because I had a little scare over the weekend...but the scare ended up being nothing ! The doctor saw a tiny dot on the screen that she said was the gestational sack ( but I didnt see anything lol ) but she assured me that this was totally normal because it was still super early to see anything. Today the doctors office called and told me that all of my blood work came back excellent :) I am so excited !!! I am still feeling great, no morning sickness YET. I have been a little more tired than normal but I am not complaining !!!  I have my next doctors appointment on February 24th, I will be 6 weeks & 1 day pregnant so I expect to see a lot more then. I will post pictures when I get them.

See...You really cant see anything at 4 weeks & 4 days. She told me its at the bottom & is a little dot! It's hard to see but in person you can see it just a little. Im just happy she saw something at all :) I am so looking forward to my 6 week Ultrasound!

I know people probably think Casey and I are nuts for already getting started with baby stuff but we are just so excited and would rather get things done than procrastinate. This past weekend Casey, Robert, Eric & my brother painted one of the rooms in our house, moved furniture, & cleared out the room we are going to use as the nursery :) I have such a wonderful husband. He worked his butt off this past weekend!

Until Next Time...

I'M PREGNANT !!!!!

AHHHHHHH !!!! I am just so excited that I don't know what to do with myself!!

Casey & I are going to be parents! :) I found out on February 8th in the evening time and ever since then I just can't stop smiling !

Ok, so lets start from the beginning...I took my provera and my Chlomid and used my fertility monitor to determine the days that I was ovulating. I went by exactly what it told me and it said I was ovulating Jan 28th and 29th. So of course I know that a positive pregnancy test MIGHT show up as early as 7-10 post ovulation! So for those of you that really know me...you know that I am NOT very good at being patient lol. So I took a test on Feb. 4th and it was negative :/ , then I took another on Feb 5th, 6th, 7th which were all negative. On the 8th I had one more tests that I could have taken that morning but I just knew from taking the other million pregnancy tests that this one would be the same so I was absolutely positive that I was not pregnant so I just didn't take the test on the morning of the 8th...

I went to work not thinking about a baby at all , but when I got home from work that evening I was cleaning up the house a little bit and I picked up the box with the last test in it and I thought to myself " I might as well take this last stupid test and throw all this junk away"! So I did. And let me tell you it was a cheap dollar store test that you have to have a plus and a minus to be pregnant. So I set the test on the counter and watched it start to work...I watched both minus's show up and I immediately walked away and went to let my dog outside. I came back in the bathroom about 2 minutes later to take out the trash and as I walked by I just glanced over at the test. OH MY GOODNESS ! I stopped right in my tracks, picked up the test and held it as close to my eyes as possible! There was a faint line making the plus sign!!!!!!!! I didn't know what to do , and I didn't want to tell Casey yet because it was a faint line and I thought I might be seeing things. So I called my sister n law, Ashley and went over to her house to see if I was crazy !

I showed her the test and she said that there definitely was another line on there but that we needed to get in the car NOW ( she's kind of demanding :) lol) and go buy a good First Response test. We got it and went back to her house. I tested immediately and guess what !! The second line came up so quick and was not faint !!!!! We jumped up and down and cried a little and then I had to go tell Casey !!!!

I told Casey by putting the test in little camo baby boots and handing it to him. He was sooo excited ! We were both in shock and could not stop smiling! & that night was barely slept at all!  We also told both families that night :) It was a busy but exciting night at the Nowetner house but I wouldn't want it any other way.

I called and made my doctors appointment..I go 2 weeks from today on February 24, 2012 :) I will be 6 weeks and 2 days !! I can not wait to have an ultrasound and see our lil nugget !! Ahh I am so excited and ready to be a mommy ! &  even more than that I know Casey will be a wonderful daddy :)
