Six Weeks...

Well today was mine and Casey's first baby doctor appointment ! We have been so excited for this day for 2 weeks :) so needless to say we were up bright and early this morning waiting till time to leave ! We stopped and got breakfast on the way because I was feeling nauseous then before you know it we were in the waiting room....

We got called back in the doctors office and it took FOREVER for Dr. Bruce to come in to see us, but finally she did. She did an ultrasound and saw that the sack had grown since last time and that there was a visible yolk sac now. We did not see an embryo yet and the Doctor never mentioned anything about a heartbeat...which kind of worried me but she said everything seemed normal for how early it is. She actually thought i might only be 5 1/2 weeks instead of 6 weeks. She wants to see me back in 2 weeks and said we should definitely be able to see an embryo. I am not going to lie I was a little bit disappointed because I went in expecting to see a definite little blob and hear a heartbeat. So I will be worried until I do see and hear a heartbeat even though Dr. Bruce didn't seem concerned.

6 week Ultrasound picture!

The past 2 times I have been to the doctor I went to Dr. Bruce , she was my sister in law's doctor throughout her pregnancy with the twins. I thought I would really love her since my sister n law and I are so much alike but I have to say that I am not too fond of her. She isn't very personable to me. It really irritated me when I asked her today if there was any medicine I could take for a runny nose and allergies and she never even looked at me she just said well didn't you read your new patient packet from last time it told you what medicine was acceptable. First of all, she didn't give me and "New patient " packet last time I went to the doctor. & second of all even if she did when I ask my doctor a question I expect an answer not a smart ass response ! ( sorry I'm venting now ) I think it's because my normal doctor Dr. Milner is beyond amazing and ALWAYS makes you feel like his friend instead of just another patient. As you can tell I'm really looking forward to seeing Dr. Milner on March 12th :) He got me to where I am and has always been so sweet!

I am trying not to worry because God is in control and there is probably nothing to worry about anyway!!!!! That is my 6 week update ...

Oh & BTW ... My mother in law is on day 8 of radiation and doing wonderful !!

5 Weeks !

Ok, so let me start off by saying that I forgot to mention in my last blog the AMAZING news we got the day after we found out I was pregnant ! My mother in law found out that she will not have to take CHEMO :) She was so relieved and her doctor told her that she can scream at the top of her lung that she IS a cancer survivor !! This was such wonderful news.

I went to the doctor at 4 weeks and 4 days to "confirm pregnancy" ( get blood work done ) I had an Ultrasound that day because I had a little scare over the weekend...but the scare ended up being nothing ! The doctor saw a tiny dot on the screen that she said was the gestational sack ( but I didnt see anything lol ) but she assured me that this was totally normal because it was still super early to see anything. Today the doctors office called and told me that all of my blood work came back excellent :) I am so excited !!! I am still feeling great, no morning sickness YET. I have been a little more tired than normal but I am not complaining !!!  I have my next doctors appointment on February 24th, I will be 6 weeks & 1 day pregnant so I expect to see a lot more then. I will post pictures when I get them.

See...You really cant see anything at 4 weeks & 4 days. She told me its at the bottom & is a little dot! It's hard to see but in person you can see it just a little. Im just happy she saw something at all :) I am so looking forward to my 6 week Ultrasound!

I know people probably think Casey and I are nuts for already getting started with baby stuff but we are just so excited and would rather get things done than procrastinate. This past weekend Casey, Robert, Eric & my brother painted one of the rooms in our house, moved furniture, & cleared out the room we are going to use as the nursery :) I have such a wonderful husband. He worked his butt off this past weekend!

Until Next Time...

I'M PREGNANT !!!!!

AHHHHHHH !!!! I am just so excited that I don't know what to do with myself!!

Casey & I are going to be parents! :) I found out on February 8th in the evening time and ever since then I just can't stop smiling !

Ok, so lets start from the beginning...I took my provera and my Chlomid and used my fertility monitor to determine the days that I was ovulating. I went by exactly what it told me and it said I was ovulating Jan 28th and 29th. So of course I know that a positive pregnancy test MIGHT show up as early as 7-10 post ovulation! So for those of you that really know me...you know that I am NOT very good at being patient lol. So I took a test on Feb. 4th and it was negative :/ , then I took another on Feb 5th, 6th, 7th which were all negative. On the 8th I had one more tests that I could have taken that morning but I just knew from taking the other million pregnancy tests that this one would be the same so I was absolutely positive that I was not pregnant so I just didn't take the test on the morning of the 8th...

I went to work not thinking about a baby at all , but when I got home from work that evening I was cleaning up the house a little bit and I picked up the box with the last test in it and I thought to myself " I might as well take this last stupid test and throw all this junk away"! So I did. And let me tell you it was a cheap dollar store test that you have to have a plus and a minus to be pregnant. So I set the test on the counter and watched it start to work...I watched both minus's show up and I immediately walked away and went to let my dog outside. I came back in the bathroom about 2 minutes later to take out the trash and as I walked by I just glanced over at the test. OH MY GOODNESS ! I stopped right in my tracks, picked up the test and held it as close to my eyes as possible! There was a faint line making the plus sign!!!!!!!! I didn't know what to do , and I didn't want to tell Casey yet because it was a faint line and I thought I might be seeing things. So I called my sister n law, Ashley and went over to her house to see if I was crazy !

I showed her the test and she said that there definitely was another line on there but that we needed to get in the car NOW ( she's kind of demanding :) lol) and go buy a good First Response test. We got it and went back to her house. I tested immediately and guess what !! The second line came up so quick and was not faint !!!!! We jumped up and down and cried a little and then I had to go tell Casey !!!!

I told Casey by putting the test in little camo baby boots and handing it to him. He was sooo excited ! We were both in shock and could not stop smiling! & that night was barely slept at all!  We also told both families that night :) It was a busy but exciting night at the Nowetner house but I wouldn't want it any other way.

I called and made my doctors appointment..I go 2 weeks from today on February 24, 2012 :) I will be 6 weeks and 2 days !! I can not wait to have an ultrasound and see our lil nugget !! Ahh I am so excited and ready to be a mommy ! &  even more than that I know Casey will be a wonderful daddy :)

Babies, Weddings, and Real Life.

1/19/2011

Well, since my last blog not too much has really happened with mine & Casey's baby progress... but thats not what I want to talk about in this blog. I feel like the past few weeks we have been tracking this and taking this pill and thinking about baby baby baby!!! So its time to just relax and take our minds off of a baby even if it is just for a few hours.

I don't really know if this is normal or not but my twin Nephews started crawling this week and I was able to witness it for the first time last night ( Jan 18th ) and I started to tear up ! It has been so neat to witness them grow up and hit all of these milestones. I am so thankful that I have such a close relationship with my family! These past 9 months with the twins have been beeyond amazing and I am looking forward to many many years of watching them grow. I am such a PROUD AUNT :)

I kept the boys for a couple of hours one night and I rocked them both to sleep :) We stayed like this for about 45 minutes!

Weddings !!! My best friend Samantha just recently got engaged to the love of her life, Kyle. I am so excited for them and I know that these two will have a long, healthy, and happy marriage. Sam and I, a few of her bridesmaids, and her mommy went to the Bridal Extravaganza on January 8th, it was a blast! Samantha got her hair curled, checked out several different venues, looked at dresses a little, and ate every free food sample we were given :) I really enjoyed the day with her. Sam and I have been best friends since 5th grade. We are more like sisters than anything. We can have a fight about the most random and pointless things and then 5 seconds later its like nothing happened. Sam and I most definetly have wonderful childhood memories of playing house. She was Rachel and I was Summer, we had kids and husbands! Oh how I miss those days. But at the same time now all of this is coming true in real life and I am so glad that Sam is a huge part of my life. As we've gotten older Sam and I share alot of the same problems and I know that when I am down she will be there to pick me up! Hopefully April 27, 2013 will be the wedding date. Until then I am looking forward to being a part of her journey!

Here is one picture of us from the Bridal Extravaganza ( Ashley, Stephanie, Sam & Me )

& Now for the real life part... I do not want to go into a ton of detail because words literaly can not describe how much these people mean to me... but the people that get me through everyday are Casey, my parents, my grandparents, My brother & his family ( the twins & his wife Ashley a.k.a my best friend ) , Kylie ( my life long best friend ) , Samantha , Paige & last but not least my in laws have been wonderful...

Today, my Mother in Law got wonderful news about her breast cancer :)))) Her double lumpectomy was successful. The surgeon was able to remove all of cancer, it is not in her lymphnods! Praise the Lord.... However, she will have to wait a couple more weeks before she will know for sure what her treatment will be. It will either be chemo or radiation. After that she will be cancer free I just know it !!

Im sure I'll have more updates coming soon !

News, News, News !!!

OK, Well I have some good news & some bad news....

Let's start with the good first ! In my last blog I talked about the fact that I started my provera on December 28th and took my last pill on January 6th. I was very hopeful while taking the pills that I would start my cycle and then I could start my chlomid, but as days kept passing I lost hope and would get really upset thinking that provera didn't work at all...but 6 days after the last pill (January 12th) my little friend came to visit :) I don't know many women that get excited for this time of the month but Casey and I were VERY excited ! Its just the first step of many to get us a little baby Nowetner. So, now I will start my chlomid on day 4 which will be January 15th - 19th. I can not wait !

Now for the bad news...Right before Christmas my Mother in Law found out that she has breast cancer :( It was so shocking and unexpected, but she is dealing with it very well. Good news is that the cancer was caught extremely early (stage 1) and all of the doctors are so optimistic that this process will be smooth sailing. My mother in law is a very determined and strong woman, so i have no doubt that she will fight cancer with everything she has and BEAT it. In 2005 my Nanny was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and she was a trooper as well. She went through Chemo but with all of her family and friend support and faith in the Lord she is now a cancer survivor :) Cancer isn't fair and happens without notice but these 2 very important women in my life have shown me what it means to be brave, to never give up, and how to put all your faith in God because without him you don't stand a chance. My mother in law had a double lumpectomy ( Jan 11 ) so now we are just waiting to found out all of the results from pathology, which I feel very certain that we will have some good news come next week when those results are all in. I have been asking for prayers on facebook, so now I will ask for prayers on here. Thank you so much.

& Last but not least, I have to blog about the Texans game this Sunday! I am so proud of the Texans for everything they have overcome this season. No one believed that they would even make it this far. Division Champs , and 2nd round of playoffs is nothing to be ashamed of. So Sunday @ noon I will be screaming my head off and totally in the zone. Yates better not look like a rookie, Andre Johnson needs to be a threat, Foster better hold on to the ball and use his legs, and Cushing has it taken care of on the defensive side. If you cant tell I am a HUGE football fan !! Go Texans and Go Denver ( until they play the Texans )

Until Later .

I'm Not a Princess, This Ain't a Fairytale..

So as I mentioned in my last blog, Casey & I are so ready to start our family and have a little baby Nowetner! But what I didnt say is that Casey & I are going to have to have some help with conceiving baby Nowetner. At first it was really hard for me to talk about because I felt like there was something wrong with me, or that it was my fault. I guess I just dont handle things very well when they are beyond my control. Casey has been wonderful through us finding out that there are some issues with getting pregnant. He is always so positive which really lifts my spirits about the situation. I couldnt imagine going through this with anyone else. Also, my doctor, Dr. Milner, has been beyond amazing and very comforting! For about a year ( maybe a little over a year) I have been extremely irregular with my cylces. When I talked to Dr. Milner about this he did an ultrasound and a test to make sure my tubes werent blocked. From the ultrasound, he saw that I had some dense spots that were abnormal so he wanted me to have a DNC ( Feb 2011) in hopes that it would basically let me start fresh. Well, that didnt do anything different I still am way off!

So Dr. M sat me down and told me that I was going to have to have some help from Provera and Chlomid. At first I was upset but then Dr. M told me that this is "just a bump in the road, not the end of the road". He also assured me that there is no reason why Casey and I can not be parents. It will just take positive thoughts and maybe a little more patience than most. Today, I am not upset at all..I really dont care what steps we have to take to have a baby ...as long as we have a baby that's all that matters. I really believe in my heart Casey and I will have a baby :)

What is Provera ? Provera is a little pill that I have to take for 10 days! All it does is jump start my cycle. So far I am on day 5 of Provera 10mg(January 1, 2012). I was told to take these all 10 days unless my cycle starts...but most of the time people take all 10 pills and there cycle starts a few days after the last pill. What happens if the Provera doesnt work ? Well honestly I dont know because I am putting all of my faith in hoping it does work. Thinking positive!

                                              This is Provera !

Once the Provera starts my cycle, I will start Chlomid on day 4 -8 of my cycle. Chlomid is a fertility drug that increases the chance of pregnancy. It helps women ovulate ( produce a mature egg ) during their cycle. Casey and I hope that this pill makes all the difference for us! Good news is that there are different doses of Chlomid so you start at 50 mg, then if that doesnt work.. 100 mg, and as a last resort 150 mg...

This is Chlomid

I will definetely keep my blog updated as things happen, but as of right now we are just waiting for Provera to work its magic and start my cycle...One step at a time...! Keep your fingers crossed that everything goes as planned!

Forever & Always

Hello !

I have so much to say, I really do not even know where to begin. My sister in law got me into blogging so now I am really excited to get started. Casey & I got married July 23, 2010 and we have been incredibly blessed :) Time has literally flown by over the past year and a half. Here are some of our wedding pictures ..

So far since Casey & I have been married we have been able to travel and add on to our family. In July 2010, we went on a cruise for our honeymoon to Cozumel and Progresso, Mexico. This wasnt just a typical honeymoon though, my brother and sister in law also went on the cruise with us :) Everyone always thought that was so weird, but my brother Brandon and Casey are BEST FRIENDS and my sister in law Ashley and I are inseperable !! We had so much fun made so many wonderful memories.

All of us on the cruise

Then December 30, 2010 my hubby and I were supposed to go to New York for New Years. We had a hotel room with a window veiw of the ball drop and the whole nine yards! Then of course just my luck, a HORRIBLE snow storm hit in New York and the night before we were supposed to leave we get a call from Jet Blue airlines and our flight had been canceled! I was completely devastated...I dont think Casey was too upset haha! I immediately called Casey's cousin ( Who lives in New Jersey ) and asked him to please help us find a way to get to New York! He stayed on the phone with me for hours and we finally were able to figure out a way to make it there, But it was definetely going to be a jouney! We got a flight from Houston to Orlando, Florida then changed planes in Orlando and went to Phillidelphia and in Philly we had to ride a train to New York. Whew, it was a long journey but we both enjoyed every minute of it. All of that crazy traveling was so worth it...New York was unbeleivable !! We came out of Grand Central Station on New Years Eve at about 9pm and it was a complete mad house...it took us about an hour to get a cab to take us close to our hotel( I had a panic attack tryin to get a cab ) and then once we got to the street of our hotel the NYPD officers had to escort us to our hotel because we were going right through the mob of people that were waiting for the ball to drop. We ended up opening our hotel window on the 52nd floor and watching the ball drop!! While in New York we went to the David Letterman Show, Empire State Building, September 11th Meuseum, Ground Zero, Central Park, A Broadway Show ( Chicago ) , Staton Island, the Macy's ( which is unreal) !! I absouletely want to go back to New York someday!

Yay it's 2011

We were on the screen in Times Square :)

Then in June 2011 Casey & I went to Cancun for a week. We stayed at the Moon Palace Resort. The food there was horrible to me but the resort was GORGEOUS and the golf course was stunning! While we were there I was able to talk Casey into getting a couples massage and believe it or not he LOVED it!! We are so blessed to be able to travel, it is something I want to continue even after we have kids. As far as adding to our family, Casey was a package deal when I said yes I would marry him...He already had a Chocolate Lab named Dixie. She is totally crazy and a handful but we love her. Then in June 2010 Casey and I got a Maltapoo, named Rebel !! He is sooooooo sweet and has the cutest little personality ! He is definately my world (Even Casey gets jealous of my Rebel boy ) ! Both of our pups are wonderful !

Casey's favorite thing on vacation- Golfing

But, I saved the best news for last... On April 24, 2011 my sister in law brought 2 beautiful babies into this world that I am so grateful to call my nephews. They are identical twins named Drake and Hunter. They are so adorable and Casey & I both love them so much!

Now that Casey and I have been married for a year and a half, and had such an amazing time doing all of the things we have always wanted to do & having time alone, we are so excited to say that we are ready to start trying for a baby! Having a little Nowetner would be a dream come true..I know it isnt going to be an easy task for Casey & I but I am praying that all goes as we plan ! Hopefully 2012 will be the best year so far ...
