October 18, 2012 :
I went to the doctor for my 40 week appointment. We were going to do a non-stress test, ultrasound and regular exam because I had zero progress with Bowen. Dr. Milner just wanted to make sure our little boy was not in any kind of danger. If things were fine then I would go back the following Monday and do the whole thing at the doctors office again. I was so ready to meet our little man that I can remember being semi annoyed and disappointed that I showed no sign of labor happening anytime soon. But I was just waiting for things to happen.....
I got to the doctors office and they called me back to have an ultrasound to measure Bowen's fluids and look at the placenta. As I was laying on the table Dr. Milner and his nurse noticed that high on my belly Bowen was really poking out, so they started trying to guess what body part was sticking out by just feeling. Dr. Milner said...maybe his butt.. the nurse thought it was his knees ... so to see who was right he started the ultrasound. The next thing I heard was Dr. Milner say .." Uh - Oh ...Looks like we are all wrong. You might not be too happy with this mom ". My heart immediately sank..I was thinking his fluids were off or something was majorly wrong. Finally Dr. Milner told me that the body part sticking out was Bowen's head. Our baby boy was breech. Dr. Milner told the nurse to let me get up and dressed and head to his office to schedule a C- section. In that moment, I was so full of different emotions that I really was just shocked and didn't know what to say. I went to Dr. Milners office and he explained why a c-section was the right call for a breech baby and he called the hospital and scheduled it for October 20, 2012 at 9:45 a.m.
I left the doctor and called Casey. I told him that Saturday we would meet our baby boy and that I would have to have a C-section. As soon as I got those words out I burst into tears ! Everything was hitting me at once...nerves , reality, happiness, you name it and I felt it ! Casey was so good, he calmed me down and talked me through it. I could tell that reality was setting in for him to though. We told our family and friends right away ( I think I cried on the phone with everyone I talk to that day ). So from then on it was just waiting until Saturday and enjoying the last 2 days of being a pregnant lady.
October 20, 2012 could not come fast enough !!!!

So Close but Yet so Far !
We are finally almost there ( we hope) ! Since my last blog... I had two more wonderful baby showers. My work threw me a baby shower on September 14th and it was a lot of fun and Bowen got so much! I am very fortunate to work with amazing people who are so supportive and excited for Casey and I to have Bowen. God has blessed Casey & I so much that sometime I need to pinch myself to see if all this is REAL!
Then my neighbor, Jennifer, gave me a shower the evening of the 14th & guess what?! It was just as incredible as the rest :) The decorations were adorable, the food was fabulous but most of all just getting to spend time with my neighbors and family made the night ! Needless to say Bowen has almost everything you can imagine...He is already one rotten little boy.
Now that I am getting to the end of my pregnancy, Casey and I are getting so antsy! We are just so ready to meet our little man. I started my weekly doctor visits at 36 weeks but nothing has really happened. At 38 weeks my cervix had a small change ( starting to open ) but that's about it. I went for my 39 week appointment today and Dr. Milner had told me that if I had some significant changes that he would induce me on October 12th... But little Bowen just isn't ready yet. I think our families thought I would be really upset if I couldn't be induced on the 12th but I'm not upset at all. I want a healthy boy and I know that God has a plan and knows just the right time for Bowen to make his entrance into this world. Besides, No one stays pregnant forever, right ?! ;)
Here is my note to Bowen...
Hi Baby boy ! Mommy and Daddy are so beyond ready and excited to meet you. I get so excited to go to the doctor every week and hear your heartbeat and find out if we had had any progress. So far you are taking your sweet time, but that is okay... we love you and want you to be ready when you enter this big world we live in. Until then we will still talk to you everyday, get excited with every movement you make and dream about meeting you. We love you so much sweet boy. Stay comfy and cozy until you decide its time ! <3 Mommy !

35 weeks !
Only 5 weeks left :)
I'm so beyond excited but also starting to get nervous. I'm not really nervous to be a parent... don't get me wrong I know we will make mistakes along the way but i know that we will be the best that we can be for Bowen. I am just nervous about labor and delivery. Everything will work out though, just gotta keep busy until that time comes!
So far, I have had 2 WONDERFUL baby showers. The first one was on August 25, 2012. Hosted by : Theresa Nowetner, Julie Andersen & Renee Gold. We are so blessed to have wonderful family on both sides! Bowen got a ton of nice gifts. It was so nice to see everyone and for them to be so supportive of our baby Bowen. The shower theme was adorable... it was blue and green trains. I really appreciate all of the time and hard work put into making the baby shower something i will always remember. After the shower my mom, nanny, mother in law, nana, Julie & Fallon ( & David ) all came to my house to help put Bowen's things away. It was so sweet and I enjoyed sharing that time with all of them. Here are a few pictures from that shower ( more to come later ) :
Here are a couple of pics from this shower:
32 weeks on the left and 35 weeks on the right ! He is getting bigger and dropping lower !

The second baby shower was September 8, 2012. Hosted by : Ashley Olive, Kylie Court, Samantha Shepard & Stephanie Chamberlain. They surprised me and the theme for this shower was LION KING :) I am a total Lion King nut. My mom made the cake and all of my best friends were so good to my little family ! Steph and her mom, Mrs. Cyndi were on the ball bright and early that morning :) They pampered me a little... Steph curled my hair twice ! Mrs. Cyndi brought us breakfast. I really don't know what we would have done without Mrs. Cyndi there... Sam, Steph, and I couldn't even figure out how much water to mix with the crystal light lol and not to mention Steph almost burned down my house!! Kylie and Ashley did the errands getting balloons and ice etc. I would have paid good money to see Ash load all those balloons by herself :) They all worked together and made the baby shower AMAZING ! Samantha busted her butt on a HUGE and gorgeous diaper cake ( I still wont take it apart yet) and a perfect baby wreath. When I do go to the hospital and have Bowen EVERYONE will be jealous of the wreath hanging on my door! Kylie Sue was off at college while a lot of planning was taking place but it meant the world to me that she still stayed involved with everything, She has and always will be a wonderful best friend.. Shoot i feel that way about all of the girls.! Ashley ( my sister in law ) also went above and beyond. She was constantly online searching and ordering for the perfect lion king things. She has twin boys that i know she wants to spend every second with so for her to do ALL that she did still blows me away. She was so excited to do this for me and I don't know how I will ever repay her! So.. To all of my best friends- Thank you so much for everything that you did for my little family. Every single one of you mean the world to me and I can not imagine having any better best friends than you guys. I am blessed to have all of you in my life but even more than that I can not wait until Bowen can feel the love from y'all. Love ya :) Ashley & Brandon - thank you for the diaper shower. Casey really had a great time and feels tremendously blessed to have you guys! With all of the friends and family that attended both showers we cant say thank you enough and are ready to share Bowen with all of you! Here are a couple of pics from this shower:
Now.... September 14th we have 2 more baby showers. We have a work baby shower Friday from noon to one and then that evening my sweet neighbor is giving me my last baby shower at 6:30 ! I don't know how we got so lucky to have such great people around us but i wouldn't trade it for the world. God is great. I will update with pics from these baby showers as I get them!
Off the baby shower talk and on to how Bowen has been..
So far at all my doctors appointments things have been good for the most part. At 32 weeks my blood pressure was sky high and my doctor warned me to take it easy and relax otherwise he would have to make me relax. I did listen to him and Casey has made it easy for me. I know i have a great husband. At my 34 week appointment the doctor checked me because I had felt a new pressure pretty low. Come to find out i have lost my mucus plug, but my cervix is still closed and not dilated at all. They told me not to worry it wasn't a bad sign and that as long as i make it to 36 weeks they would not stop labor. Hopefully I make it to at least 38 or so. Only time will tell. I am just now getting to the point is my pregnancy where everything is uncomfortable. It doesn't matter if i am sitting, standing or laying down it all is unpleasant. But at the same time I wouldn't change a thing about it because it's all for a healthy baby boy.

27 Weeks and Counting !
Time for an update !!
@ 25 Weeks - We had a 3D Ultrasound done ! Casey & I were both kind of freaked out about how 3D would look but we totally LOVED it. We invited my sister in law to go & we were all amazed at how neat this ultrasound was. We can already tell that Bowen is a spitting image of Casey, good thing he's cute ;) ! We will definitely have to go back around 35 to 38 weeks and do another 3D ultrasound.
Now I owe a BIG thank you to my sister n law... this week ( 27 weeks ) was the first time that I have really been maternity clothes shopping. Before I was just wearing blousy tops and bigger pants and capris....little did I know that maternity clothes would look 100 times betters and make me feel 100 times better ! We went to Motherhood Maternity and bought the whole store I think ! But it was worth every penny. I finally look 27 weeks preggo instead of chubby :)

Think he looks like his Daddy at all ?!
Casey finally felt Bowen kick at 25 weeks & 3 days...I screamed because I was so happy I probably scared Bowen and Casey haha ! We are just so thankful for our little angel...
This past weekend Casey & I kept our almost 15 month old twin nephews overnight...We had so much fun, including the 4 am wake up and stinky diapers! Drake and Hunter are such good little boys and I love the stage that they are at. They are learning things so quickly it's been amazing to be such a huge part of their life as they grow each day! Here are some of our pictures from the weekend...

Over Half Way There !
Sorry its been a while since my last blog! We've had alot happen since then so that's what I am going to focus on here.
Well 1st ... Baby Bowen is doing wonderful :) I went to my 20 week appointment on May 31st and my doctor measured all of his little bones, head, and heartbeat. He is right on track. Casey & I absolutely love getting to see him any chance we get. He is very active and loves to have his little hands around his mouth. I am convinced that we are going to have a little thumb sucker. Haha! Just recently ( & I am now almost 23 weeks ) I have really started to feel Bowen move. I mean I felt little flutters around 18 weeks or so but now its a million times stronger. I look forward to every little movement, basically Bowen and I have a party in my belly every night :) Casey wants to be able to see and feel Bowen so bad but I know its not too far from that ! I also wanted to share that I bought a " Pocket Fetal Doppler" for like $ 60 online and it is wonderful. Casey and I listen to Bowen's heartbeat every night before we go to bed. It is totally worth the money makes Mommy and Daddy smile. I highly recommend it!!!
This is our sweet little Baby Boy ... Bowen Michael Nowetner ! Due 10/18/12
Now that I bragged on my little man, I have to share a couple of unfortunate events that happened :( ...
All throughout my pregnancy I have had plans of a lady that lives in my hometown and keeps a few kids at her house to keep Bowen. Literally the minute I found out I was pregnant I asked her if she would be able to keep him and she told me yes. As the weeks went on we talked more and more about it and she told me how much she was going to charge me and what all I would need to leave at her house etc. I was so relieved to have someone like her keep our sweet little boy. Until just a couple of weeks ago, she dropped a bomb on me and told me that she wouldn't not be able to keep Bowen anymore. I was devastated....& the way that I found out made it even worse, I wont go into too much detail nor say any names. However, lets just say a friendship was most definitely lost over it and its not something that I will just be able to get over right now. But at the same time I know in my heart God obviously has different plans for my new little family! I have found another SWEET lady that also keeps kids at her house and I really really really hope it works out! She told me from the beginning God brings people in your life at exactly the right time and I know she is 100 % right about that. I have a really good feeling about her and Casey and I are going to meet with her and her family very soon so keep your fingers crossed.
Switching gears a little bit... Casey's Nana got put in the hospital for having extremely high blood pressure and fluid around her heart. It was so scary ! She had to spend 8 nights in a darn hospital bed but I know one thing, She had a guardian angel with her at all times. I know her sweet husband ( Casey's PawPaw ) was right with her getting her through the tough time. After all the testing they did on her it came down to Nana having to take Dialysis 3 times a weeks. I know its not good news per say but the doctors are confident that it will make her feel sooo much better and give her more energy once enough time has passed. Casey, Bowen & I just want a healthy, happy Nana.! Just keep Nana is your prayers...She is on the right track now.
Casey & I just got back from a week long trip toFort Walton , Florida with my family. It was my mom and dad, my brother and his wife and their beautiful little twin boys. We all had a blast. We relaxed at the beach and pool, went to the Gulfarium, ate way to much and enjoyed the week together! Ill most likely post a full blog just about Florida soon !

Boy Oh Boy !!
Well.. I'm back again :) & I am soooo excited to say that Casey and I are having a little boy.
His name will be Bowen Michael Nowetner and we just can not wait to get our hands on him ! Casey and I went to have the gender determination ultrasound on May 3, 2012 when I was exactly 16 weeks pregnant! If you know me at all you know that I absolutely could not wait another month to find out the sex. I am way too impatient haha, at least I admit it. Anyways...We love to see our little peanut any chance we get so this ultrasound was very exciting. It was only supposed to be a 10 - 15 minute ultrasound but...apparently our baby has my stubbornness!! First he was sleeping, he looked so peaceful. His little legs were tucked underneath him and his arms were folded under his little head! The ultrasound tech kept shaking my belly a little to try and wake him up but he just wasn't having it! So then I had to drink some apple juice and walk around for a bit. Next time we tried to take a peek he was awake but not cooperating...he kept his legs crossed and his hands over his boy part. He was embarrassed that so many people we looking at him! But FINALLY he let us see between his legs and he is definitely a BOY ! It was kind of funny because once we saw he was a boy and we all got excited and started laughing and talking he was showing off then! What a little turkey already :)
Bowen Michael Nowetner - you are one loved little boy already. Keep growing and getting stronger because we are so ready to meet you come October ! I have felt a little "flutter" a few times and it is magical ! I am ready to really feel you kick soon ( I'm sure I am asking for trouble ). Love you baby boy!
I also wanted to share in this blog that my best friend Samantha has found her wedding venue :) I am so excited for her and Kyle and I am ready to start doing all of their wedding stuff! Love you both so much!
My nephews turned 1 on April 24th ! They are growing so fast.
Well that's all for now! I have my next doctors appointment on May 31st so I'm sure I will have something to say then. <3

12 Week Update: Boy ?!
Ahhh ! 12 weeks :)
Casey & I are just beyond excited that baby Nowetner is healthy and happy! When I was right at 11 weeks we had a scare that sent us to the emergency room to get things checked out. Come to find out it was nothing concerning to my doctor, just to mommy & daddy. We were so glad to hear that everything was okay and that the bleeding was "sub chronic bleeding" and doesn't directly effect the pregnancy. But enough about the scare and on to the good stuff :)
I had my 12 week appointment with Doctor Milner on April 5, 2012! Casey was able to come with me to this appointment, so it was his 1st time to see our lil one. Before the ultrasound the nurse checked my vitals. Blood pressure was good, but my heart rate was at like 124 ! That was pretty concerning to the nurse so she said relax and we will tell Dr. Milner when he gets in here. Dr.Milner came in and said lets get to the fun stuff and started my ultrasound right away ! The best part was watching Casey's face. I am not a very emotional person as it is but just seeing the excitement in Casey's face made me teary eyed. It was obvious that Casey will be a GREAT daddy :) Baby Nowetner was flipping and turning and twisting !!! Dr. Milner was trying to get a measurement of the crown to rump but baby was not cooperating very well ( I think that stubbornness comes from Mommy ) We started at the top and examined eyes, ears, fingers, arms.... and then we got to the gender area! Immediately Dr. Milner said Well I would bet a million dollars that its a BOY ! But he said its not his final ruling because at 20 weeks it will be a definite no doubt boy or girl...so as of now we are all pretty certain its a little boy but Casey and will be so excited either way ! A healthy baby is all we want. After my ultrasound Dr. Milner checked my pulse again and it was only 84 so apparently I get so excited and worked up to see baby my heart rate jumps up pretty high !
Oh , and Casey and I are going with Lion King for the baby room ! I loved the Lion King as a child so I'm sure our little boy or girl will love it as well. I will be uploading pictures of the room pretty soon !
